Who is YOCC

YOCC is a group of enthusiastic BIPOC school aged children with common goals of building community.

What is our purpose

YOCC’s purpose is to provide our children with an environment that is tailored to their cultural needs. Our goal is to allow the youth to freely express themselves in a safe and welcoming environment.

Self-Advocacy:

Empowers youth to express themselves confidently and effectively, emphasizing understanding their needs, meeting them, and communicating with others.

Resilience:

YOCC instills the mindset that challenges are opportunities for growth, encouraging perseverance and positivity in the face of difficulties.

YOCC promotes effective communication during conflicts, aiming for understanding and amicable resolutions to disagreements.

YOCC fosters mutual trust and friendship among participants, emphasizing support, learning, and growth together.

We help youth become stronger and more confident in taking control of their lives and asserting their rights, offering encouragement and support.
